About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Technical Assistant to support the maintenance and reliability of non‑clinical equipment in a facilities environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving, and technical learning, and wants to build strong experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement works.

You will work closely with Engineers and Technical Officers, gaining exposure to both daily operations and projects, while contributing to a safe and well‑maintained workplace.

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintenance & Operations

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned non‑clinical equipment.
  • Respond promptly to Work Requests (WR) and perform necessary repairs or rectifications.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are properly documented and submitted daily.

Support & Coordination

  • Support Engineers and Technical Officers in supervising contractors and vendors, including warranty and contracted maintenance works.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of new facilities and equipment when required.
  • Identify spare parts needed and support procurement activities.

Improvement & Technical Work

  • Perform basic fabrication and welding for innovation or improvement works where necessary.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Safety & Teamwork

  • Follow safe work practices and maintain a strong Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) mindset.
  • Support ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

  • NITEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Hard‑working, reliable, and able to multi‑task in a hands‑on environment
  • Strong safety awareness and good WSH behaviour
  • TIG or general welding certification is an advantage
