Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, patient-centred, and evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, the nurse supports the delivery of efficient, high-quality services across the patient's care journey, from pre-procedure assessment through recovery and discharge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Assist endoscopists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitor patients' clinical status, sedation recovery, and procedural outcomes.
- Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and accessories.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, scope reprocessing, and patient safety standards.
- Perform patient education and discharge counselling.
Job Requirements
- State Registered Nurse
- Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing
- Strong interest in procedural and acute care settings
- Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and procedures.
- Meticulous with attention to detail and patient safety.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player who works effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Able to perform shift work & on call duties when required
- Able to work on weekends as per rostered
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy procedural environment.
- Capable of making sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Resilient and able to manage unexpected situations, emergencies, and fluctuating workloads.
- Preferably with Operating Theatre / Endoscopy / Intensive Care Unit / Medical Ambulatory Centre / Intensive Cardiac Lab / Diagnostic Radiology Department Nursing experience
- Role requires prolonged standing during procedures and the use of lead apron for radiation protection.
- Involves handling of disinfectants and reprocessing chemicals as part of endoscope cleaning and reprocessing workflows.
