Storekeeper, Operating Theatre (2-Year Contract)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain accurate records of all OT supplies including surgical consumables, monitor stock levels and always ensure availability of critical consumables.
• Track expiry dates and ensure Earliest Expiry First Out (EEFO) practices
• Verify incoming consumable quantities and condition against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, sterility, safety) for all consumables
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with infection control standards
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the electronic systems
• Keep track of damaged, expired, or obsolete consumables, alert the executive to follow up with user / vendor closely.
• Demonstrates familiarity with the mass disaster plan and participates in the mass casualty exercises according to the assigned role and responsibility.
• Liaise with OT operational support teams and OT nursing teams to ensure service delivery standards are met and take appropriate action to improve workflow that is of value-added service delivery and based on quality.
• Provides efficient, safe and cost-effective service delivery according to the established hospital policies and procedures. Serves as a resource person for operational support staff and mentor the juniors to achieve desired outcome.
• Any other duties/projects as assigned by OTS Senior Management.
• Participates in hospital’s quality management audit and activities.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures according to IQEHS requirements.
• Maintains cleanliness and tidiness of the department and to ensure safe environment for staff, patients and public.

EDUCATION

• Minimum GCE O-level / N-level or NITEC qualification preferably with 1 to 2 years’ experience in storekeeping, warehouse or material management.

EXPERIENCE

• Possess good communication and interpersonal skiils, with ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock control, with sound understsanding of receiving, issuing storage.
• Strong organizational skiils and attention to details, with ability to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy.
• Physically fit and capable of handling, moving, and storing materials in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
