Staff Nurse / Sr Staff Nurse (NCID Clinic J)

The Challenges

You need to demonstrate high standard of patient care by performing clinical nursing procedures that meet the patients' immediate physical and emotional needs.

Job Descriptions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients under his or her care.
• Demonstrates knowledge and performs relevant skills, according to department core competencies.
• Administers medication with demonstrated knowledge of medication action, mode of administration, side effects and contraindications.
• Performs prescribed treatments and procedures in accordance to the standard of nursing practice to meet the patients’ physical and emotional needs.
• Coordinates all patient-related activities for continuity of care.
• Conducts post procedure discharge planning.
• Recognizes, responds and intervenes timely to patients’ conditions (e.g. vital signs, laboratory test) in a clinically appropriate manner.
• Communicates critical clinical situation using standardized communication technique.
• Documents patients’ progress, care and treatments provided accurately and in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Nursing or equivalent with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.
• Self-motivated and able to work well in a team. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment as well as being flexible and open to changes.
