The Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will demonstrate a critical understanding of detailed theoretical and practical knowledge, practising at intermediate level as a generalist or specialist to develop focused expertise. This may be a rotational post within a multidisciplinary team across all areas of patient care.

You will translate research or new knowledge into practice and may contribute towards research design or implementation. You will contribute actively in educator, researcher or leadership roles to meet the goals and needs of the service, and to further your career and professional aspirations. You may also take on a leadership role, with some responsibilities for team performance, service development or improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

You will maintain consistent standards of clinical and service care across rotations that can include Orthopaedics, Sports, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Cardiopulmonary, and Chronic Disease Management, as well as Geriatrics and Musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Education & Supervision

You will coach, supervise and train new and existing staff (JG12 and below) and/or final year AHP students as a clinical educator or mentor, assist with on-the-job training and supervision of therapy assistants, and provide supervision for undergraduate student clinical attachments and new physiotherapy graduates.

Research & Innovation

You will demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate research and innovation, translating emerging practices into intra-department in-services, and assist in the design and implementation of research projects including literature reviews, study protocols, grant writing, data collection and analysis.

Leadership & Management

You will coordinate processes and flow within teams, demonstrate professionalism, provide cross-coverage of colleagues, and assist in deputising in the absence of the supervisor. You will also supervise JG 11–12 staff and be involved in the appraisal of therapy assistants and junior staff.

Qualifications

Degree in Physiotherapy is required, or a non-recognised Diploma/Degree with relevant qualifications such as Qualifying Exams.

You must be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC).

Membership with the Singapore Physiotherapy Association or equivalent is highly recommended.
