Senior Manager, Operations – NHG Eye Institute (NGHEI)
The Senior Manager/Manager, Operations at the NHG Eye Institute (NHGEI) plays an important role in the planning, development, and management of resources within the Institute. The role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred care across both Clinical Operations and Primary Eye Care (PEC).
You will also oversee the day-to-day operations and service development for the Eye Centre, including Clinic 1A, Eye PACE, TVOS/IVT, and related services. In addition, you will provide managerial oversight for key PEC programmes such as SiDRP, CEC, and COCS.
You will drive quality and service excellence by conducting quality assurance audits, monitoring workflows and key result areas (KRAs), and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with expected service outcomes and institutional objectives.
This role requires a proactive leader who can identify opportunities, plan and implement operational strategies, and optimise utilisation, productivity, and revenue, while supporting workforce development and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support NHG Eye Institute leadership in driving clinical and operational excellence
- Engage, galvanise, and collaborate with stakeholders across OneNHG to implement initiatives and achieve shared goals (e.g. reducing SOC wait times, increasing NHG Eye Institute’s mindshare through outreach and publicity efforts)
- Oversee service delivery, operational workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure effective resource planning and utilisation to meet patient and organisational needs
Requirements
- Degree from a recognised university
- Minimum 5 years of operations experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of ethical and professional standards
- Meticulous with strong organisational and coordination skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong written and analytical skills, with a good flair for numbers
- Driven, passionate, and service-oriented
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively; adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities
