Sr Manager/ Manager, Operations (Patient Service Centre)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Manager / Manager to join Operations (Patient Service Centre), supporting Patient Support Operations in an acute tertiary hospital.

In this role, you will work closely with the Assistant Director, Patient Service Centre, Operations, to support and oversee the strategy and operations for all assigned units within the Patient Service Centre (PSC) Department, including:

You will play an important role to lead and manage Senior Assistant Manager/ Assistant Manager/ Senior Executive, Patient Service Centre, in Emergency Department Financial Counselling and In-flight Financial Counselling Teams in providing admission and financial counselling services to patients and/or next-of-kin to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency;

You will oversee the planning, implementation and sustenance of the Department’s strategies and workplans, in support of project implementation efforts at Cluster, Hospital and Division/Department level, as well as establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork

You are responsible to develop and build Team capabilities with attention to guiding and coaching staff in terms of performance and supporting their progression.

You will drive innovations and service development efforts, redesign PSC operational workflows to meet department workplans, institutional targets and NHG priority areas.

You are responsible to plan and manage resource, budget and HR matters for applicable cost centres, as well as for any future expansion of the hospital’s services and the implementation and review of relevant processes and practices to ensure compliance to government policies and relevance to the hospital’s needs, including the department’s Quality Procedures, Standard Supporting Documents and Work Instructions.

You will also undertake any other duties as assigned by the Department / Senior Management

This role entails end‑to‑end ownership, requiring strong leadership from planning through execution and ongoing refinement. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  2. Minimum 6-8 years relevant work experience with preferably 3-4 years of supervisory experience in managing teams
  3. Experience in hospital operations and change management is an added advantage
  4. Project management skills is a must
  5. Excellent leadership, organisational and people management skills
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex issues
  8. Mindset and confidence to work in a fast-paced environment
