About the Grants & Innovation Office (GIO)
GIO seeds, drives and promotes the spread and scale of transformative healthcare innovation to enhance the health of the population we serve. We achieve this through Grant Funding and Catalysing Innovation through Thought Leadership, People and Knowledge Management (KM).
Reporting to the Head of Department, GIO, this role is accountable for establishing CHI’s thought leadership position and institutionalising the practice of innovation through a community of experts and through sharing, learning and doing.
This role:
- Leads the programming for INNOVATE, CHI’s annual flagship conference, to position CHI as a global thought leader in healthcare innovation.
- Drives the development of Publications to capture and translate CHI’s growing body of work and knowledge into actionable insights.
- Establishes the CHI Faculty through targeted engagement and cross-domain collaboration.
- Oversees the growth of user, content & community in the CHI Learning & Development (CHILD) system as one of the world’s largest healthcare knowledge management platforms.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- INNOVATE
- Lead the programme development, curation and implementation for INNOVATE:
- Strategically design and operationalise INNOVATE’s programme to advance healthcare innovation discourse and ensure attendees’ positive learning experience.
- Intentionally drive measurable conference outcomes with CHI’s strategic objectives.
- Plan for and enable the INNOVATE Scientific and Organising Committees to drive conference excellence, fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with global thought leaders, speakers, and industry experts to ensure high-quality conference content and experience
- Work collaboratively across teams and departments in stakeholder engagement and programme execution, ensuring alignment with conference objectives
- Publications
- Drive the development of Publications:
- Execute a publications strategy that aligns with CHI’s transformation priorities and establish the publishing process of CHI’s work into impactful content.
- Work in partnership with an international Editorial Board to advance CHI’s thought leadership positioning in healthcare transformation through identification of emerging trends/ topics and strategic opportunities for knowledge dissemination.
- CHI Faculty
- Establish the CHI Faculty through strategic engagement and management:
- Cultivate a purpose-driven and highly participatory Faculty network in innovation initiatives by establishing a robust and agile process for Faculty identification, recruitment and high-impact engagement pathways.
- Drive continuous improvement in refining future engagement strategies through tracking and evaluation of Faculty deliverables as well as departmental budgeting.
- CHILD
- Operationalise the vision of CHILD in becoming the world-leading platform for healthcare innovators to connect and share knowledge related to healthcare productivity, innovation and improvement.
- Oversee the CHILD platform’s growth, resilience and sustainability through user engagement and content development, supported by an active growing network of knowledge ambassadors across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Assist in CHILD’s governance through oversight of system renewal, senior-level stakeholder management (i.e. funder, c-suite executives, steering committees) and compliance to funder requirements.
- Team Management
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of direct reportees.
- Guide and empower team members to take ownership of assigned portfolios and encourage contribution of ideas for continuous improvement
- Foster a collaborative learning environment by creating opportunities for staff for cross-functional exposure and learning as well as identifying development goals and creating actionable plans for growth
- CHI ALL
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives cross-functionally, across CHI campuses and offices as well as with partners and healthcare clusters, to further propagate thought leadership, innovation and catalyse practice and systems change
- Participate in, lead and scale initiatives that strengthen cross-institutional sharing and learning, while building agile innovation capabilities
- Reporting and Accountability
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio deliverables and initiatives to drive innovation culture in healthcare transformation, ensuring accountability to senior management and funders through timely updates
- Conduct regular / timely update meetings with CHI senior management and funder.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably Bachelor’s Degree and above.
- Preferably at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in healthcare, community building, knowledge management, communications or a related field is preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse and senior stakeholders, industry practitioners and academia.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards of work.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in event coordination support as well as website development is a plus.
