    • Support better patient care and patient safety
    • Optimise key resources’ utilisation and ensure operational/cost effectiveness
    • Develop and maintain an environmentally sustainable value delivery system
    • Deepen service culture and improve patient satisfaction
    • Benchmark, plan and future proof our services and performance to maintain organisational excellence

Lean Process Simulation & Capacity Modelling

  • Designs and develops discrete-event simulation models to analyse current-state processes, identify bottlenecks, and evaluate the impact of proposed lean interventions on throughput, cycle time, and resource utilisation.
  • Conducts capacity and resource modelling to determine optimal staffing levels, equipment requirements, and workflow configurations under varying demand scenarios, including peak and stress conditions.
  • Applies lean methodologies (e.g. value stream mapping, waste elimination, kaizen) in conjunction with simulation tools to validate process improvement hypotheses before implementation.
  • Translates complex operational data into simulation inputs, including arrival rates, service times, and resource availability, ensuring models are grounded in real-world constraints.
  • Develops scenario analyses and "what-if" studies to support decision-making on process redesign, capacity expansion, or resource reallocation.
  • Collaborates with operations, planning, and engineering teams to gather process data, validate model assumptions, and communicate simulation findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Develop Innovation and Improvement Capabilities

  • To assist in the execution of strategies and workplans that would strengthen the improvement & innovation culture and capabilities in NHG to enable system level transformation.
  • To work closely with NHG stakeholders in executing initiatives that enables capability building of our people through avenues including (but not limited to) training and involvement in improvement and innovation projects.
