About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on Facilities Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, where engineering reliability, safety, and compliance directly impact patient care and operational continuity.

Your Role & Impact
Technical & Operational Excellence
- Plan, implement, and continuously review maintenance programmes for M&E systems and non‑clinical equipment, including sterilisation equipment.
- Investigate technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Conduct reliability assessments, troubleshoot faults, and prepare clear incident and failure investigation reports.
- Provide technical support for inspection, testing, commissioning, and system upgrades.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, including budget and resource planning.
- Ensure maintenance and project documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with standards.
Improvement, Projects & Compliance
- Lead and support engineering improvement projects with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage licensing, claims, and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Monitor departmental operations, identify improvement opportunities, and drive cost‑effective, sustainable solutions.
People, Quality & Safety
- Supervise contractors and guide technical staff to ensure high service quality and safe work practices.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and hospital management systems.
- Investigate safety incidents and prepare required reports.
- Participate in department‑wide initiatives, staff training, and process improvements.
- Review and enhance SOPs to improve safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Have a solid understanding of M&E systems (healthcare experience is an advantage but not mandatory)
- Communicate clearly and work well with technicians, contractors, and clinical users
- Are independent, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure
- Are comfortable with documentation, coordination, and structured environments
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications
