Sr Asst Manager, Innovation Research & Implementation Support
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the Clinical Research & Innovation Office (CRIO) in advancing healthcare transformation through research and innovation implementation.The successful candidate will support the Innovation and Research Implementation Support (IRIS) unit by providing operational coordination and administrative support to facilitate the implementation of research and innovation projects within clinical care settings. In addition, the role will provide research compliance and regulatory oversight, including coordination of study monitoring activities, compliance reviews, promoting adherence to institutional and regulatory requirements throughout project implementation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC (80%)
- Innovation and Research Implementation Support (IRIS)
- Project Coordination & Implementation Support
- Support the coordination and administrative support for research and innovation projects under IRIS by working closely with clinical teams and internal stakeholders
- Assist in the development and documentation of implementation plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Grant & Resource Coordination
- Support the identification of relevant grant opportunities and assist teams with administrative aspects of grant preparation
- Coordinate submission timelines, documentation, and internal review processes
- Process Mapping & Workflow Support
- Assist in mapping project workflows and identifying key institutional processes (e.g. approvals, onboarding requirements)
- Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate smooth navigation of institutional procedures
4. Data Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain and update project tracking databases, including key milestones, outputs, and outcomes
- Support the collation of data for reporting purposes, including basic analysis of project metrics and performance indicators
- Assist in preparing regular reports and dashboards to monitor progress and implementation outcomes
5. Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Consolidate project documentation, templates, and learning points
- Support the development of a repository of best practices and implementation resource
- Support the preparation of communication materials, including reports, presentations, and success stories
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions, such as coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and documenting discussions for internal committees or working groups
- Coordinate communications across stakeholders involved in IRIS initiatives
- Research Compliance & Governance Support
- Monitoring and Compliance Reviews
- Support monitoring and compliance review activities for research and innovation projects, including those under IRIS, to ensure adherence to approved protocols, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Document monitoring observations and support follow-up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with project teams.
- Perform compliance reviews of research processes to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities that inform future implementation efforts.
- Provide administrative and coordination support during audits, inspections, and internal reviews, including follow-up on findings relevant to IRIS-supported initiatives and all research studies
- Training & Compliance Awareness
- Support initiatives to promote proper conduct of research and awareness of regulatory requirements
- Assist in organising training sessions and dissemination of updates on SOPs and guidelines
GENERAL (20%)
- Support the implementation of institutional initiatives that strengthen research infrastructure and research governance.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of research policies, guidelines, and operational workflows.
- Participate in institutional committees, workgroups, or taskforces related to research development and governance where required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and objectives of the research office.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Health Services Research, or a related healthcare discipline
- At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in healthcare administration, clinical research support, project coordination, or research compliance
- Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Basic understanding of clinical research processes, data governance, or healthcare operations is advantageous
- Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and administrative capabilities, particularly in handling research documentation, protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with project tracking tools and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with clinicians, researchers, and administrative teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare or multidisciplinary research environment
