Sr Asst Manager, Fire Safety
JOB SUMMARY
The primary role is to act as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM registered under SCDF) for TTSH and assume the role and responsibilities of FSM under the Fire Safety Act.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC
- Register with SCDF and assume the role of Fire Safety Manager for Tan Tock Seng Hospital buildings.
- Perform all duties of Fire Safety Manager as stipulated in the Fire Safety Act and any other additional functions designated by the SCDF Commissioner from time to time.
- Prepare and submit annual Fire Safety Report to the Management.
- Advise Management on all matters pertaining to Fire Safety.
- Regular monitoring of loss prevention equipment (e.g. Fire Protection Systems).
- Conduct Fire Emergency Drills and tabletop exercises.
- Liaise with relevant governmental agencies on fire safety related matters.
- Establish and review policies, procedures and standards relating to Fire Safety.
- Update Fire Safety Quality Procedures, Work Instructions and Supporting Documents.
- Conduct in-house induction related to Fire Safety.
- Review and improve the Fire Safety features within hospital and propose recommendations when necessary.
- Act as liaison officer on behalf of TTSH for Fire Safety submission to the authorities.
GENERAL
- Actively participate as a member or team leader for Safety Committees.
- Develop and review Work Instructions and Quality Procedures for the department work operations relating to Fire Safety as well as training and equipping staff to carry out their work correctly, safely and conscientiously.
- Coordinate with departments on all Fire Safety issues, particularly the one involved in minor or major renovation work within hospital.
- Help promote a fire safe working environment.
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department/Reporting Officer.
