Sr Asst Manager, Fire Safety

As the Fire Safety Manager, you will be the appointed authority on all fire safety matters, partnering closely with management, regulators, and clinical stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fire Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Register and assume the statutory role of Building Fire Safety Manager for TTSH, NCID/CHI and ICH.
- Fulfil all duties stipulated under the Fire Safety Act, including any additional functions designated by the SCDF Commissioner.
- Prepare and submit the Annual Fire Safety Report to Management.
- Advise Management on all matters relating to fire safety risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the official liaison officer for all fire safety submissions and correspondence with authorities.
Operations, Monitoring & Risk Prevention
- Oversee and regularly monitor fire protection and loss prevention systems.
- Review and enhance fire safety features within hospital premises, proposing improvements where necessary.
- Coordinate closely with departments on fire safety matters, especially during minor and major renovation works.
- Liaise with external agencies such as SCDF and MOH on fire safety-related issues.
Training, Drills & Continuous Improvement
- Plan and conduct fire emergency drills, tabletop exercises, and preparedness activities.
- Deliver in-house fire safety induction and awareness training.
- Establish, review, and update fire safety policies, procedures, work instructions, and supporting documents.
- Drive continuous improvement of fire safety quality procedures and operational standards.
Governance & Team Contribution
- Actively participate as a member or team leader of the Safety Committee.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and collegiality across the organisation.
- Support departmental initiatives and perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Deputy Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably a Diploma or Degree in EHS Management or related discipline.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager under the Fire Safety Act.
- Registered Fire Safety Manager with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Fire Safety Manager preferred.
- Prior experience in fire safety, EHS, or healthcare/large-scale facilities will be an advantage.
