Senior Manager/Asst Director, Ops (Surgery)
You will play a pivotal leadership role in transforming clinical services and driving operational excellence across the campus. Working closely with Clinical Heads and senior stakeholders, you will influence strategic decisions, redesign care delivery models, and create innovative solutions that enhance patient outcomes and experience.
You will lead complex service transformation initiatives from concept to implementation, ensuring that clinical operations remain patient-centred, efficient, and financially sustainable. Through strategic planning, robust project governance, and data-driven decision-making, you will drive continuous improvement and innovation across the patient journey.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of hospital-wide strategic initiatives, translating national healthcare priorities and cluster directives into impactful operational outcomes that advance patient care and organisational goals.
- Drive and oversee complex, cross-functional projects from conception to execution, ensuring robust governance, proactive risk management, stakeholder alignment, and successful delivery of strategic objectives within time and budget.
- Lead the development of data analytics and performance measurement frameworks, translating complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making, optimise operations, and drive continuous improvement in clinical, operational, and financial performance.
- Partner closely with Clinical Heads, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders to design, develop, and implement patient-centred care models that enhance care delivery, patient outcomes, and operational sustainability.
- Lead strategic procurement and business planning initiatives, developing robust business cases, securing funding approvals, and ensuring the optimal utilisation of resources to support service growth and innovation.
- Provide leadership and stewardship of administrative, financial, and workforce matters while coaching and developing staff to foster a high performing, engaged, and collaborative team culture.
Job Requirements
- Good Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare administration.
- Experience in healthcare operations, healthcare administration, or service transformation will be advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive change in complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities with confidence and resilience.
- Driven, resourceful, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
