Senior Manager, Fund Raising and Donor Relations

Role Purpose
The Fundraising & Donor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to successfully grow philanthropic support for Woodlands Hospital through its fund raising entity Woodlands Health Fund. The role oversees The incumbent will play the key role in identifying potential donors, ensuring successful donor acquisition, and cultivate on-going donor relationship and engagement, oversee stewardship of donations pledged and engagement, while ensuring compliance with charity governance requirements, hospital policies and regulatory standards. The incumbent will work closely with Woodlands Hospital clinical departments, corporate partners, community organisations and other internal stakeholders to cultivate identify meaningful donor relationships donation objectives and purposes that advance the hospital's mission.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans aligned with the hospital's strategic priorities.
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, community fundraising, payroll giving and legacy giving.
- Plan and manage fundraising campaigns, donor appeals and special events.
- Prepare fundraising proposals, sponsorship packages and impact reports and obtain clearance from Management and Board.
2. Donor Management & Stewardship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual, corporate and foundation donors.
- Develop donor engagement and recognition programmes to enhance donor loyalty and retention.
- Coordinate donor visits, appreciation events and naming opportunities.
- Ensure timely acknowledgement, reporting and stewardship of donations.
- Validating sources of donations and donors
- Maintain accurate donor records and oversee donor database management.
3. Partnership Development
- Establish strategic partnerships with corporations, philanthropic organisations and community groups.
- Work with clinicians and hospital departments to identify projects suitable for philanthropic support.
- Represent the hospital at networking and community engagement events.
4. Governance, Policy & Compliance
- Ensure fundraising activities comply with applicable charity regulations, governance requirements and hospital policies.
- Support the development and review of fundraising policies, gift acceptance guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Prepare relevant fund raising reports and updates for management, committees and the Hospital Fund Board.
- Ensure proper documentation and governance of donations, sponsorships and restricted funds.
5. Administration & Reporting
- Monitor and deliver fundraising performance against targets and KPIs.
- Analyse donor trends and campaign effectiveness to inform future strategies.
- Prepare management reports, donor impact reports and board papers.
- Manage fundraising budgets and vendor contracts where applicable.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Non-Profit Management or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, philanthropy or partnership development.
- Good understanding of charity governance, donor stewardship and fundraising best practices.
- Experience working with donor databases and CRM systems.
- Strong stakeholder management, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in healthcare, public sector or charitable organisations.
- Familiarity with Singapore charity regulations, governance frameworks and fundraising compliance.
- Experience supporting charity boards or fundraising committees.
- Knowledge of impact reporting, donor recognition and philanthropic programme development.
