Senior / Financial Counsellor

A Financial Counsellor is expected to perform all of the following areas of financial counseling functions:

Financial Counsellor’s Office

Financial Assistance scheme sign-up.  FC need to:

Counsel and explain to patients the principles and ruling of Financial Assistance scheme;

Assess patients’ financial status and eligibility;

Determine the appropriate wavier percentage to be granted to patient.

Explain to patients the different healthcare subsidies and schemes such as Medisave CDMP/Flexi scheme.

Perform proper manual application if system is down

Give advice to patients with outstanding bills.

Prepare the External Drug Claims for submission to Finance department.

Operations Support

Assist operations when called upon either by the Operations Executives or Operations Manager.

Others

Phone call to patients to follow up on patients’ outstanding bills.

Advise patients on the installment plan to settle their outstanding bills

Participate in clinic initiated projects involving financial assessment/assistance with patients
