Senior Executive/ Asst Manager, Clinican Scentist Development Office
This role provides comprehensive support to clinician scientists and innovators within NHG Health across key areas of career development and professional growth. The primary objectives are to enhance grant application success through structured review processes and expert mentorship, elevate research visibility through strategic content management and publicity initiatives, and strengthen the clinician scientist community through targeted engagement activities. The position enables effective coordination of support services that advance research excellence and foster collaboration within the NHG Health ecosystem
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive national grant/talent award pre-application support to enhance the quality and competitiveness of submissions from NHG Health clinicians, e.g. IGRP, mock interviews, etc • Coordinate internal grant review processes by matching applications with appropriate subject matter experts and research leaders
• Facilitate mock interview sessions with cluster experts to prepare applicants for panel presentations
• Manage reviewer databases and maintain relationships with internal and external evaluation experts and institutional CRU personnels
• Develop and refine review criteria and feedback mechanisms to ensure constructive application improvements
• Track application outcomes and maintain performance metrics to continuously enhance support effectiveness
• Liaise with funding agencies to stay updated on application requirements and evaluation processes
2. Drive strategic communication initiatives to showcase NHG Health's research excellence and facilitate collaboration opportunities.
• Curate and maintain dynamic content on the NHG Health Research Website, highlighting latest news and achievements
• Manage the Researcher Directory with updated information and enhance searchability
• Develop feature articles, researcher spotlights, and online content to promote research impact
• Coordinate with Group Corporate Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging across platforms
• Establish workflows for timely updates following major research milestones and awards
Drive ACSI’s strategic outreach and engagement initiatives e.g. roadshows & networking forums to strengthen the research & innovation community and promote ACSI's mission.
• Plan & run roadshows during institutional / major events to promote ACSI initiatives and talent development opportunities across NHG Health institutions, including pre and post event publicity and write-ups • Organise networking forums to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify speaking opportunities and partnership possibilities
• Manage event logistics, including venue coordination, speaker arrangements, and participant registration
• Evaluate event effectiveness and gather feedback to continuously improve engagement strategies
Participate in intra- and inter-departmental projects as and when required
QUALIFICATIONS
• At least a good bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in biomedical/clinical research or medical affairs.
• Experience in events management or digital content management (Website content management, database maintenance, and digital marketing basics)
• Experience or appreciation of local healthcare research processes, grant application procedures, and academic career pathways are added advantages.
