Job Description:
This role is responsible for coordinating security programmes, managing security systems, overseeing outsourced security services, and supporting security compliance, investigations, and emergency response activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and external agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities:
Security Operations
- Monitor day-to-day security operations and deployment activities.
- Liaise with outsourced security service providers to ensure service standards and operational requirements are met.
- Follow up on security incidents, unusual occurrences, and service recovery actions.
- Conduct security inspections and patrol audits across hospital premises.
- Maintain accurate security occurrence records and incident documentation.
Security Systems Administration
- Manage CCTV footage retrieval requests in accordance with approved procedures.
- Administer access control systems, including card access requests and access rights management.
- Support maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, alarm, and related security systems.
- Maintain security records, logs, and documentation.
Emergency Preparedness & Security Planning
- Coordinate and support security drills, exercises, and tabletop simulations.
- Assist in reviewing emergency response and threat management procedures.
- Support security operations during heightened security situations and emergency activations.
- Monitor and track corrective actions arising from exercises and incidents.
Security Compliance & Audits
- Support internal and external security audits.
- Conduct compliance inspections and security readiness checks.
- Track audit findings and facilitate the closure of corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Security Awareness & Training
- Organise security awareness campaigns, roadshows, and educational programmes.
- Coordinate staff briefings and security-related training sessions.
- Maintain training records and attendance reports.
- Promote a strong security awareness culture throughout the organisation.
Investigation & Incident Management
- Gather information and prepare incident reports.
- Support investigations into security incidents and breaches.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and external agencies when required.
- Assist in implementing recommendations to strengthen security controls.
Visitor Management System Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of the Automated Visitor Management System (AVMS).
- Manage user accounts, system configurations, and access rights.
- Conduct user training and stakeholder briefings.
- Coordinate with vendors and project teams on system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
Requirements:
Competency
- Strong knowledge of physical security and security operations.
- Good analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing security systems such as CCTV, access control, and visitor management systems.
- Ability to work effectively during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
Educational and Professional Requirements
Senior Executive
- Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in security operations, emergency preparedness, physical security, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
Assistant Manager
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in security operations, security management, emergency preparedness, or related fields.
- Security-related certifications and professional training will be an advantage.
Fresh graduates with relevant training or internship experience are welcome to apply.
Experience
- Assistant Manager: Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Executive: Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience.
