Senior Executive, Acute and Emergency Care
The role is to maintain a high level of service and facilitate daily operations in Acute & Emergency Care Centre (A&E).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) SPECIFIC
1. Ensure efficient operation, resource utilization and drive optimum utilization of
2. Maintain operational and service standards in A&E, working closely with Nursing leads,
Doctors and other support departments to streamline processes
3. Plan and execute assigned projects within allocated budget and timeline, with
involvement of all relevant stakeholders
4. Analyse and interpret data trends in order to gain insights. Synthesize and translate
data insights into actionable items
5. Identify and help resolve service discrepancy trends/issues and proactively contribute
to continuous improvement initiatives, support project implementation through active
participation, process enhancement and recommendation. Monitor and facilitate
improvement projects through regular reviews with stakeholders
6. To coordinate response within the department in patient feedback management
7. Assist the Clinical Head of Department, Nursing leads and Manager in the review,
implementation and enforcement of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Data
Protection measures (PDPA)
8. Participate in risk review initiatives (e.g. Enterprise Risk Management, Hazard
Identification, Patient Safety Walkabout) with stakeholders and execute measures to
mitigate risks
9. Develop, review and implement management plans for the Department to ensure
readiness during exigencies/emergencies e.g. Civil Emergency, Disease
Outbreak/pandemic, National Emergency etc
10. Ensure various systems (e.g. EPIC) are in optimal working condition through review of
system enhancement and troubleshooting of system issues
11. Ensure accurate billing of services and work with Nursing Leads and Doctors for
accurate charging of services
12. Ensure assets are in optimal working condition; through planned review cycles and
collaboration with users, IT, BME and FM teams. Facilitate the review of budget-related
matters
13. To oversee generation of official and ad-hoc reports and ensure that the reports are
sent timely
14. Draft, review, update and implement Department SOP and SWI according to MOH
guidelines and Hospital Policies
(B) GENERAL
1. To supervise the training of new staff: executive, PSA and PRA
2. Embrace continuous improvement as our way of life by improving and refining
work performance on a daily basis.
3. Support all corporate activities, as well as motivate and encourage staff
participation in community projects.
4. Conduct orientation and induction programme for new staff, where relevant
JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Basic Degree
- Knowledge of hospital operations would be preferred
- Experience in a supervisory role would be preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess positive attitude, initiative and keenness to learn
- Possess strong analytical, good interpersonal and communication skill
ABNORMAL PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITION
- Be able to respond to emergency recall depending on exigencies of services
