Job Description:
As the Senior Assistant Manager / Manager (Security), you will be responsible for developing and implementing the hospital's security plans and threat response measures, overseeing outsourced security services, and driving security preparedness through exercises, audits, training, and stakeholder engagement. You will also support security operations, governance, and compliance to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities:
Security Planning & Threat Response
- Develop, review, and maintain the hospital's Security Plan and Threat Response Plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct security exercises, drills, and tabletop exercises.
- Implement security measures in line with MOH security posture requirements.
- Drive improvements arising from exercises, audits, reviews, and security incidents.
Management of Outsourced Security Services
- Oversee the deployment and performance of outsourced security personnel.
- Monitor service standards and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review and verify monthly invoices and service deliverables.
- Ensure timely and effective responses to security incidents and patient-related crises.
Security Operations & Advisory
- Oversee CCTV footage retrieval processes and access control administration.
- Provide security advisory support and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with established security policies and operational procedures.
- Support organisation-wide security risk management initiatives.
Security Awareness & Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and implement annual security awareness programmes.
- Conduct briefings, roadshows, refresher training, and educational sessions.
- Organise stakeholder engagement meetings and security-related forums.
- Communicate emerging security threats and regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
Security Governance, Audit & Reporting
- Manage the hospital's key management programme, including audits and reviews.
- Coordinate MOH security audits and internal readiness assessments.
- Monitor audit findings and drive closure of corrective actions.
- Prepare security dashboards, trend analyses, and reports for senior management.
- Represent the hospital at security-related meetings, exercises, and initiatives with MOH, MHA, and other external agencies.
Requirements:
Competency
- Strong knowledge of physical security operations, security governance, and threat management.
- Experience managing outsourced security service providers and vendor performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in audit management, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment.
- Ability to lead initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Security Management, Safety & Security, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Senior Assistant Manager: Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience in security operations, emergency preparedness, physical security, law enforcement, military, or related fields
- Manager: Preferably at least 8 years of relevant experience in security operations, emergency preparedness, physical security, law enforcement, military, or related fields
