As a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (5-Month Contract), you will contribute to the development and implementation of Woodlands Hospital's Smart Hospital agenda. Working closely with clinical, operational, and technology stakeholders, you will help drive initiatives across Smart Clinic, Smart Ward, and Smart Radiology, while strengthening organisational capabilities in innovation, automation, and digital transformation. Your work will directly support the hospital's vision of delivering person-centred, digitally enabled, and future-ready healthcare.
What You Will Drive
1. Smart Hospital Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Support the development and continuous refinement of Woodlands Hospital's Smart Hospital strategy and transformation roadmap.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders to identify opportunities, challenges, and unmet needs across care delivery processes.
- Conduct environmental scanning and benchmarking of local and international healthcare innovation best practices.
- Analyse insights and translate findings into actionable recommendations, frameworks, and implementation plans.
- Support the development of strategic initiatives across Smart Clinic, Smart Ward, and Smart Radiology to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and workforce effectiveness.
- Contribute to the prioritisation and evaluation of transformation opportunities aligned with organisational goals.
2. AI, Automation & Capability Building
- Support the adoption and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Automation, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives across the hospital.
- Work with departments to identify, assess, and prioritise suitable use cases that improve productivity and streamline workflows.
- Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and engagement activities to build organisational capabilities in digital and automation technologies.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and support departments in evaluating new technologies and solutions.
- Monitor implementation progress and coordinate follow-up actions to support successful project delivery and adoption.
- Promote a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning across the organisation.
3. Programme Management & Delivery
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of Smart Hospital programmes and initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to support effective programme governance.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and integration of initiatives.
- Support the development of project documentation, business cases, presentations, and management reports.
- Contribute to achieving measurable organisational outcomes through the successful delivery of innovation and improvement projects.
4. Stakeholder Engagement, Showcase & Communications
- Design and coordinate Smart Hospital showcases, innovation demonstrations, and hospital visits for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage knowledge-sharing platforms and resources, including SharePoint and other digital collaboration tools.
- Develop communication materials, presentations, reports, and engagement content to showcase project outcomes and impact.
- Support efforts to strengthen awareness, adoption, and organisational buy-in for innovation initiatives.
- Help position Woodlands Hospital as a leader in smart healthcare and digital innovation through effective storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
5. Governance, Secretariat Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide secretariat support for Smart Hospital and Innovation & Improvement-related committees, workgroups, and meetings.
- Coordinate meeting logistics, prepare agendas and presentation materials, and maintain meeting records.
- Draft and circulate meeting minutes, reports, and follow-up documentation in a timely manner.
- Track action items and ensure timely follow-through with stakeholders.
- Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental processes, productivity, and effectiveness.
- Participate in departmental and organisational projects as assigned.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties in support of departmental and organisational priorities.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Recognised University Degree, preferably in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Business, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, community care, social care, programme management, innovation, or transformation-related roles.
- Experience in strategic planning, project management, service redesign, or digital transformation initiatives will be advantageous.
- Exposure to healthcare technologies, AI, automation, or process improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
