Research Assistant (Locum Contract) Neural Drive: 8 hrs/week ; AI dysphagia 16 hrs / week
We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our Speech Therapy Department, supporting exciting projects that leverage AI and technology to address speech and swallowing impairments.
What you'll do: You'll play a vital role in supporting our research team with data collection, set-up of communication and swallowing devices, and project coordination. Your responsibilities will include screening and recruiting patients, conducting audio recordings of swallowing sounds, annotating these recordings, performing user experience surveys, and assisting with the testing of preliminary prototypes. You'll also handle administrative tasks, maintain accurate research documentation, manage timely grant cashflow reimbursements, and ensure compliance with research protocols and grant requirements.
What we're looking for: You should be highly motivated, reliable, and possess excellent organisational, project management, and communication skills. Basic computer skills are essential. Most importantly, you should be team-oriented, willing to learn, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
