You will play a pivotal role in coordinating biological sample operations across NHG Health, ensuring seamless sample tracking, governance compliance, and collaboration between clinical and research stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end coordination of biological sample collection, processing, storage, and tracking across NHG Health sites.
- Maintain sample databases and inventory systems, and accurate documentation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop, implement, and maintain sample protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring team training and adherence.
- Coordinate with Institutional Review Board (IRB), Medical Research Coordinating Committee (MRCA) and relevant governance bodies to support regulatory and ethical compliance.
- Coordinate procurement activities and monitor budgets for sample-related resources and services.
- Lead the design, documentation, and optimisation of operational workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Partner with clinical, research, and administrative teams to drive process improvements and resolve operational challenges.
- Prepare reports, updates, and programme documentation for key stakeholders and leadership.
Requirements
- Degree in sciences
- Prior experience in programme, project, or operations management within a healthcare, research, or biomedical setting preferred
- Experience in biobanking, sample management, genomics, or biomedical research programmes will be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and priorities.
- Experience working collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
- Proficiency in database management, data entry systems, and documentation processes, with a strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with SOP development, IRB/MRCA processes, procurement, and budget tracking is a plus
