About Us

Woodlands Hospital is an exciting new healthcare institution serving the residents of Northern Singapore. As we expand our range of specialist services, we are proud to be establishing a dedicated Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) service — and we are looking for a passionate and skilled Prosthetist-Orthotist to help build this service from the ground up.

The Role

As our founding Prosthetist-Orthotist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing the P&O service at Woodlands Hospital. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team — including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical specialists — to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals requiring prosthetic and orthotic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, prescribe, fabricate, fit, and review prosthetic and orthotic devices for patients across a range of clinical conditions
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop individualised treatment plans
  • Establish clinical protocols, workflows, and quality standards for the new P&O service
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Participate in patient education and caregiver training
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and support junior staff as the team grows

What You Bring

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in service development or a leadership role will be an advantage
