JOB SUMMARY
To assist in the coordination, administration and general management of research projects undertaken by the Institute of Research Excellence (IREx). He/she will be responsible for research related activities including but not limited to stakeholder engagement, participant recruitment and follow-up, data collection and management, and research administrative duties.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC
- Work with multidiscipline research teams in the conduct of the study by:
- Ensuring that all study activities (e.g., screening, recruitment, follow-up, specimen taking, data collection etc.) are conducted in accordance with the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice guidelines, applicable regulatory / ethical requirements, standard operating procedures, and hospital policies
- Ensuring timely renewal of ethic approvals and submission of reportable events (e.g., non-compliance and deviation report) to the Institutional Review Board
- Assist in procurement of consumables and management of subject reimbursement and ensuring accurate and complete source documentation, subject logs, subject transport reimbursement logs, and all other pertinent research documents
- Maintaining accurate and complete documentation / records of study and investigator files
- Administering study questionnaires including structured interviews
- Setting up and maintaining study database for data entry
- Prepare for site monitoring visits and audits by ensuring that all study files are complete and up to date.
- Conduct interviews and facilitate focus group discussion with the research participants.
- Assist Investigators to ensure that the project financial spending operates within the approved research budget.
- Assist Investigators to prepare and submit outcome, financial and administrative reports for submission to grant body.
GENERAL
- Attend to administrative work necessary to support the project
- Taking minutes of meetings
- Coordinate research related meetings within TTSH and other collaborative institutions
- To perform other duties as directed by the HOD, Principal Investigator, study team and RO.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Degree in Nursing/Biological Sciences or related discipline
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Healthcare/research is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong communication and analysis skills.
- Ability to converse in English, Mandarin and/or local dialects.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Meticulous, self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Knowledge of MS office applications
- Knowledge of statistical software preferred.
