MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. SPECIFIC (80%)
  1. Lead and oversee the delivery of complementary acupuncture services to patient using safe, effective, updated techniques and procedures in accordance to JCI standard and MOH guidelines.
  2. Manage the clinic operations to meet departmental and organizational goals ensuring smooth daily operations.
  3. Oversee acupuncture clinic and ensure team of acupuncturists adheres to practice guidelines.
  4. Support acupuncture service across Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Admiralty Medical Centre as required.
  5. Assess, establish treatment plan and manage patients requiring integrative medicine approaches independently.
  6. Ensure clear and accurate documentation of all clinical visits and treatment outcomes.
  7. Ensure compliance with infection control practice and other hospital safety regulations across all clinical area.
  8. Responsible for inventory management of stocks, materials and equipment maintenance.
  9. Write, review and update standard work instructions (SWI) and clinical protocols pertaining to acupuncture and integrative medicine practice.
  10. Drive research and development program to deliver measurable, evidence-based outcome in integrative medicine practice.
  11. Foster continuous improvements as our way of life by encouraging staff efforts at improving processes to achieve clinical quality and operational excellence.
  12. Take ownership of personal continuous professional development.

 

  1. GENERAL (20%)

 

  1. Plan and conduct outreach activities/ roadshow and educational session to raise awareness of traditional complementary integrative medicine approaches among healthcare colleagues and general public.
  2. Represent TCIM services at department, organizational and external forums.
  3. Occasional contribution to departmental projects and strategic initiatives outside of clinic hours as determined by reporting officer.
