Clinical Competencies and Duties:
· Independent in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients within defined scope of practice.

- Demonstrate clinical reasoning ability in identifying main problems/impairments.
- Make clinical decisions informed by best practice and research evidence.
- Develop patient-centered intervention and management plans.
- Implement effective physiotherapy intervention strategies safely.
Administrative Competency and Duties:
- Manage caseloads effectively and provide coverage as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical reports.
- Adhere to billing procedures and governance guidelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hospital electronic medical records systems.
- Maintain statistics on workload as needed.
- Coordinate processes and flow within teams.
Teamwork and Professionalism:
- Engage actively in patient and caregiver education.
- Provide on-call therapist services as required.
- Assist with care and maintenance of equipment.
- Attend department meetings and ward rounds.
- Liaise and maintain good working relations with healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate professional behavior including respect for patient privacy.
- Adhere to policies and procedures of the Hospital and Department.
- Participate in department activities.
Other Duties (20-30%)
Continuous Education:
- Stay updated with the latest physiotherapy practices.
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
- Assist with on-job training of therapy assistants.
Supervisory Role:
- Assist with supervision and appraisal of therapy assistants.
- Supervise personnel attached to the department.
- Supervise observers or students on clinical placements.
Quality Improvement:
- Embrace continuous improvements and contribute to service quality improvement projects.
- Report to Senior Physiotherapist/Manager.
Research Contribution:
- Collect research data as required.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
- Occasionally contribute to team/departmental projects outside of office hours.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Department.
