Conduct financial counselling for inpatient admissions and transfers, including explanation of hospital charges, subsidies, and payment options.
Assess patients for financial assistance schemes and facilitate appropriate referrals where required.
Review, screen, and process patient referrals in accordance with established admission and readiness criteria.
Coordinate patient admissions and transfers with referring institutions, clinicians, nurses, and internal stakeholders.
Perform surveillance screening and escalate cases requiring clinical review to screening clinicians.
Manage referral outcomes, admission documentation, and planned admissions using hospital systems (e.g. EPIC, NBS, eFC).
Provide frontline customer service and handle admission, billing, and general enquiries from patients and next-of-kin.
Process payments and support counter operations, including cash handling and administrative transactions.
Maintain accurate documentation, case records, and operational reports in compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements.
Monitor referral, admission, and financial counselling workflows to ensure timely follow-up and service delivery.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinical departments, Business Office, Bed Management Unit, and external healthcare partners.
Support additional operational duties, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental projects, including ward upgrading/downgrading requests and workflow enhancement activities.
