Manager
The Centre for Medical Technologies & Innovations (CMTi) is NHG Health's technology transfer office responsible for advancing Research, Innovation and Enterprise activities development, and commercialisation of healthcare technologies across NHG Health.
The Manager will play a key role in identifying, evaluating and translating healthcare innovations into clinical, operational and commercial impact. The incumbent will work closely with clinicians, researchers, healthcare institutions, industry partners, government agencies, investors and startups to drive innovation adoption, technology transfer, intellectual property management, and venture building initiatives that strengthen NHG Health's innovation and enterprise ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technology Transfer & Commercialisation
- Evaluate healthcare innovations, inventions and intellectual property for clinical impact.
- Develop commercialisation strategies for medical/health technologies, and other healthcare innovations.
- Manage technology transfer activities including licensing, spin-off formation, commercial partnerships and market access pathways.
- Work with clinicians and inventors, on IP protection and commercialisation opportunities.
- Support negotiation of licensing, collaboration, research and commercial agreements.
2. Innovation Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of innovation projects from ideation through validation, adoption and commercialisation.
- Guide project teams in market assessment, business model development, regulatory strategy and implementation planning.
- Monitor milestones, risks, budgets and deliverables across innovation programmes.
- Support clinicians and researchers in securing translational and innovation funding.
3. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, industry partners, startups, universities, government agencies and investors.
- Structure and manage collaborations that accelerate innovation development and deployment.
- Represent NHG Health at innovation forums, conferences, and partner engagements events.
- Identify opportunities for industry co-development, co-innovation and public-private partnerships
4. Innovation Programmes & Capability Building
- Design and implement innovation programmes such as Open Innovation Challenges, innovation accelerators, clinician innovation initiatives and capability-building workshops.
- Promote innovation awareness and participation across NHG Health institutions.
- Develop programmes that strengthen clinician innovation competencies.
- Mentor and support healthcare innovators in progressing promising ideas.
5. Innovation Recognition & Strategic Initiatives
- Support nomination and positioning of clinician innovators for national and international awards.
- Prepare reports, presentations and strategic papers for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the formulation and execution of NHG Health's innovation and enterprise strategies.
