JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager/Manager will lead and oversee a range of administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of research activities at NCID Clinical Trials Unit (CTU). The responsibilities include managing clinical projects, administering grants, monitoring fund utilisation, facilitating the review of research agreements, and coordinating publicity as well as organization of visits/seminars.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC

1. Provide overall administrative support to NCID CTU as assigned.

2. Develop, implement and continuously improve the research administrative processes and workflows to enhance the research productivity, while minimising the administrative workload of the Principal Investigators.

3. Prepare and oversee research budgets, liaising with finance department to provide timely feedback to Principal Investigator on budget related matters. Oversee budgetary and spending activities as well as other administrative tasks, to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines and institutional policies.

4. Coordinate with external stakeholders including research collaborators, funding agencies, academic institutions, and biomedical industry partners; to facilitate the successful execution of research projects.

5. Coordinate the review and negotiation of research agreements with external collaborators.

6. Contribute to policymaking and planning activities that will help strengthen NCID CTU’s research capabilities.

7. Supervise junior administrative staff to ensure timeliness and accuracy

8. Plan and coordinate research project meetings, presentations and seminars, including recording meeting minutes and organising research visits.

GENERAL

1. Plan and manage the financial aspects of clinical research projects for NCID CTU, including those involving external collaborators.

2. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor, principal investigators or HOD.
