The Innovation & Improvement (I&I) Office plays a strategic role in positioning Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Community Hospital (KTPH & YCH) for future success. I&I is dedicated to driving organisational changes that enhance the hospital’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives efficiently and effectively. I&I focuses on achieving superior outcomes in process, service and quality improvement through:

·       Leveraging Data and Insights: Using data-driven approaches to support decision-making, assess performance gaps and guide improvement efforts.  

·       Facilitating Innovation: Encouraging and implementing new ideas that enhance operational efficiency, patient care and organisational effectiveness.

·       Building Capabilities: Strengthening the hospital’s ability to continuously improve through training, coaching and structured methodologies.  


The Manager supports the AI Unit in shaping and executing strategic AI enablement programs and driving cross-functional collaborations that advance AI technologies and their applications to transform healthcare, supporting system-wide innovation and improvement.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 (A)           SPECIFIC

 1.     Support the Assistant Director/Deputy Director in driving clinical and operational excellence across the AI enablement program by managing governance support (e.g. AI Faculty meetings, action item tracking, documentation). This includes developing a comprehensive training roadmap designed to equip our campus with essential AI skills and knowledge.

 2.     Identify emerging AI trends and opportunities for strategic investment and healthcare transformation using AI. 

 3.     Evaluate technical proposals and provide expert input on feasibility, innovation potential, risks and impact. This includes synthesizing complex technical and strategic information into actionable insights and developing AI models aligned with NHG AI Strategy and Health Empowered by AI Launchpad (HEAL) tracks.

4.     Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary across multiple AI-related initiatives by developing tracking tools, dashboards, and project overviews to ensure successful completion.

5.     Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners/collaborators to co-develop and/or adopt AI models to execute shared goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

 6.     Ensure projects are scalable and can be effectively spread across different divisions and departments where relevant.

 7.     Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

 8.     Provide secretariat support and prepare high-quality reports and presentations. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, achievements, and areas for improvement.

 (B)       GENERAL

1.     Support NHG Health Initiatives: Assist in new or revised NHG Health initiatives, programs, and events at the cluster level.

2.     Corporate Event Support: Assist in the planning and support of corporate events as necessary.

 3.     Sharing and Hosting: Sharing with visitors on hospital’s improvement and innovation efforts and journey.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS

 (A)           EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

 ·       Minimally hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

·       3 - 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.

·       Experience in project management, organisational development or transformation work.

·       Comfortable with uncertainty in work assignments.

·       Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.

·       Excellent written, analytical and communication skills.
