About the Digital Innovation Office (DIO
The Digital Innovation Office (DIO) under the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) drives NHG Health’s digital transformation across three key platforms: Digital Hospital, Digital Community, and Health Empowered by AI Launchpad (HEAL).
DIO’s mission is to enable transformation and deliver impact by supporting institution-led platforms that advance workforce and care transformation. Through collaborative programmes and partnerships, DIO serves as a catalyst for AI adoption at scale and digital innovation across hospitals and community care.
JOB SUMMARY
The role to support cluster-wide digital health transformation initiatives by driving strategic partnerships, enabling AI and data-driven innovation, and coordinating cross-institutional digital programmes across NHG Health.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnerships & Digital Innovation
- Support senior leadership (Assistant Director, Deputy Director, Director) in executing cluster-level digital health and AI transformation strategy.
- Manage and coordinate strategic partnerships with industry, academia, and government agencies in areas such as AI/ML, digital health applications, cloud platforms, and MedTech.
- Identify and evaluate high-potential digital health and AI-enabled solutions for pilot development, validation, and scaling across institutions.
- Coordinate cross-institutional implementation of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and governance requirements.
- Oversee project governance including timelines, deliverables, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to development and refinement of internal policies and processes related to digital innovation, AI implementation, and technology translation.
AI, Data & Digital Enablement for Research and Innovation
- Support cluster-wide AI and data enablement initiatives to strengthen research, clinical innovation, and digital transformation efforts.
- Demonstrate sufficient technical literacy to understand AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, system integration workflows, APIs, and software development life cycles.
- Work closely with IT, data, and clinical teams to identify data access challenges, governance bottlenecks, cloud architecture considerations, and capability gaps.
- Facilitate workshops and governance discussions on AI implementation, data governance frameworks, and responsible AI practices.
- Review and recommend improvements to data governance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory, ethical, and institutional requirements.
- Track systemic issues in data access and digital workflows, providing structured insights to inform strategic planning and KPI development.
- Support discussions on AI ethics, model validation, explainability, and deployment considerations within healthcare settings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Health Informatics, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of experience in digital health, AI initiatives, healthcare innovation, MedTech, Strategy & Enablement, or digital transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation principles, cloud platforms, healthcare data workflows, and AI/ML fundamentals.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, AI ethics considerations, and institutional research data processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills; able to engage effectively across clinicians, researchers, IT architects, data engineers, and administrative teams.
- Structured thinker with strong coordination, facilitation, and programme management capabilities.
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented, with a strong interest in leveraging AI and digital technologies to improve healthcare delivery and research impact.
