About the Digital Innovation Office (DIO)

The Digital Innovation Office (DIO) under the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) drives NHG Health’s digital transformation across three key platforms: Digital Hospital, Digital Community, and Health Empowered by AI Launchpad (HEAL).

DIO’s mission is to enable transformation and deliver impact by supporting institution-led platforms that advance workforce and care transformation. Through collaborative programmes and partnerships, DIO serves as a catalyst for AI adoption at scale and digital innovation across hospitals and community care.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Digital Innovation Office (DIO), the role is responsible for designing, establishing and sustaining workforce enablement communities and practitioner networks that support adoption of digital, automation and emerging technologies across NHG Health.

The role positions communities and networks as system‑level enablement platforms, strengthening cross‑institution collaboration, surfacing adoption insights, and supporting workforce‑led transformation without functioning as a delivery team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Community Strategy & Enablement

  • Operationalise the Digital Community strategy as a system‑level enablement platform that supports workforce enablement, resident connection and integrated care across NHG Health.
  • Advise institutions, programmes and project teams on problem framing, prioritisation and suitability of digital and automation approaches, in alignment with CHI and NHGHG strategy.
  • Define the objectives, engagement model and success measures for the Digital Community, ensuring it functions as a strategic enabler rather than a project delivery or execution team.
  • Translate system‑level priorities, adoption goals and performance outcomes into clear enablement and consulting direction for Senior Executives and network leads.
  • Work in close partnership with Digital Services, Population Health, who lead project management, technical delivery and system integration, serving as the business strategy and enablement counterpart.
  • Provide strategic intent, adoption perspective and workforce insights to inform Digital Services’ delivery priorities and sequencing.
  • Ensure Digital Community initiatives are shaped by user needs, adoption readiness and system‑level outcomes, rather than delivery considerations alone.
  • Maintain clear role boundaries such that DIO does not function as a project management or delivery team, but as a business strategy, enablement and adoption partner.
  • Strengthen cross‑institution collaboration across hospitals, community care providers and partners in support of integrated, person‑centred care.

Citizen Developer & Champion Network Leadership

  • Design, establish and sustain Citizen Developer and Champion networks as part of NHG’s workforce enablement and adoption strategy.
  • Define clear roles, expectations, onboarding pathways and contribution models for Citizen Developers and Champions.
  • Provide strategic stewardship of the networks, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, governance and guardrails.
  • Enable decentralised, ground‑up innovation while maintaining coherence, safety and sustainability at the system level.
  • Curate engagement rhythms such as sharing sessions, showcases, clinics and communities of practice to support learning and peer exchange.
  • Track participation, engagement, contribution patterns and adoption outcomes arising from the networks.
  • Work closely with capability enablement and platform teams to ensure Citizen Developers and Champions are appropriately supported, not over‑burdened or mis‑scoped.

Community Engagement, Insights & Feedback Loops

  • Curate engagement rhythms such as sharing sessions, showcases and communities of practice.
  • Support human-centred engagement approaches that meet staff and partners where they are.
  • Establish structured feedback and learning loops that surface adoption insights and emerging needs.
  • Translate insights into recommendations for capability enablement, service refinement and strategic planning.

General Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor team members, Citizen Developers and Champions, supporting capability development, confidence and role clarity.
  • Conduct regular check‑ins, performance conversations and development planning in line with organisational practices.
  • Support administrative responsibilities including reporting, documentation, budgeting inputs and resource planning related to Digital Community and enablement initiatives.
  • Contribute to DIO internal planning, coordination and governance activities as a member of the management team.
  • Foster a collaborative, learning‑oriented culture aligned with CHI and NHG values.
