Role Summary

The intern will support innovation and digital health initiatives within a public healthcare setting. The role will involve assisting with project coordination, data preparation, basic analysis, and documentation for digital and technology‑enabled initiatives at various stages of implementation and evaluation.

 

This internship is suitable for individuals interested in healthcare innovation, digital health, data analysis, and service improvement, and offers exposure to working with multidisciplinary teams in a real‑world healthcare environment.

 

Learning Objectives

By the end of the internship, the intern will:

  1. Develop an understanding of how innovation and digital initiatives are planned, implemented, and evaluated in a healthcare setting.
  2. Gain exposure to the use of data and technology to support service improvement and decisionmaking.
  3. Strengthen skills in data organisation, basic analysis, and translating findings into clear written or visual outputs.
  4. Learn how multidisciplinary teams (e.g. clinicians, operations, innovation teams) collaborate on innovation projects.
  5. Build practical experience in project coordination, documentation, and professional communication.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Data & Analysis Support
  • Organise, clean, and prepare datasets or transcripts collected from project activities.
  • Assist with matching and formatting information from different data sources.
  • Prepare simple summary tables, charts, or descriptive analyses using provided guidance.
  • Support collation of findings for internal reporting and presentations.

 

  1. Project & Programme Support
  • Assist with maintaining project trackers or registries for innovation or digital health initiatives.
  • Support documentation of project progress, key activities, and outcomes.
  • Help prepare slides or materials for internal meetings and reviews.
  • Assist with coordination of meetings, preparation of notes, and follow‑up documentation.

 

Requirements

 

  1. Technical & Professional Skills
  • Proven ability to perform basic data handling, cleaning, and simple analysis
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets or basic analytical tools
  • Prior experience with data analysis (academic, professional, or personal projects) is advantageous but not mandatory
  • No educational background or prerequisites needed if able to prove above abilities
