Job Description:

 

Join our dynamic nursing team and play a key role in delivering safe, compassionate, and recovery-focused mental healthcare.

You will provide holistic nursing care, foster a therapeutic environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and caregivers throughout their recovery journey.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and infection control requirements.
  • Respond effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies.
  • Perform clinical procedures including venepuncture, ECGs, dressing changes, specimen collection, and patient assessments.
  • Monitor patients' clinical conditions, identify high-risk or vulnerable patients, and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Provide specialized care for patients undergoing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and other mental health interventions.
  • Educate and support patients, caregivers, nursing students, and junior staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and delegate nursing activities to Enrolled Nurses and support care staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Contribute to service development and process improvement projects.
  • For Senior Staff Nurses, provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support staff development.

 

 

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  2. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary mental healthcare setting.
  3. Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and professional development.
  4. Relevant psychiatric nursing experience will be an advantage.

 

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 
  2. Must be registered with Singapore Nursing Board
