Deputy Director, Campus Planning & Development
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Assistant Director, Campus Planning & Development to drive the vision of a vibrant, sustainable and future-ready hospital campus.
This role goes beyond traditional operations. It is an opportunity to shape how our campus engages the community, embeds sustainability at scale, and delivers innovative, patient-centric services. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into high-impact, measurable initiatives that advance organisational priorities and position Woodlands Hospital as a model for operational excellence and integrated care.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee the planning, development, commissioning and operational readiness of the hospital expansion

- Influence and align multiple stakeholders to deliver integrated, scalable outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Development
- Develop and execute the hospital’s expansion project with strategy aligned with the hospital’s long-term vision and healthcare needs
- Serves as the hospital’s representative for all planning and construction matters and stakeholders engagement
- Lead user-group engagements for clinical and operational planning
- Monitor and manage project expenditures and value-engineering initiatives
- Integrate environmental sustainability principles into facility design and operations.
Shape a Vibrant and Connected Campus
- Set the strategic direction for community engagement and outreach initiatives
- Build and steward long-term partnerships across public, private and community sectors
- Design and deliver flagship programmes that strengthen public value and organisational brand
- Establish robust frameworks to measure impact and continuously improve initiatives
Drive Sustainability at Scale
- Lead the Sustainability Office, setting strategy, priorities and workplans
- Embed ESG principles into operations, procurement and programme design
- Oversee sustainability performance, reporting and external disclosures
Lead Strategy Execution and Governance
- Translate organisational priorities into actionable, measurable strategies across portfolios
- Establish governance frameworks, policies and KPIs to ensure alignment and compliance
- Advise senior leadership through insights, recommendations and strategic perspectives
- Oversee budget planning, resource allocation and cost optimisation
Enable Collaboration and Organisational Impact
- Engage and influence stakeholders across clinical, operations and corporate functions
- Support leadership communications, briefings and presentations
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive integrated outcomes
Develop High-Performing Teams
- Lead, mentor and develop teams across community engagemen & sustainability
- Build organisational capability in sustainability, partnerships and service innovation
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What You Bring
Experience and Expertise
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. healthcare, sustainability, public health, hospitality, business)
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare, public sector or large integrated environments
- Proven track record in strategy development, programme delivery and stakeholder management
