Dental Assistant

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant at NHG Polyclinics, you will be an essential part of the dental care team, supporting Dental Surgeons, Dental Officers and Oral Health Therapists in delivering safe and effective patient care in a busy clinic environment.
On-the-job training will be provided, and candidates without prior experience in dental assisting are welcome to apply.

What You Will Do

• Assist clinicians with four-handed dentistry during dental procedures
• Adhere to established infection control measures, procedures and protocols
• Support basic patient communications, provide patient assistance and reassurance during treatment
• Educate patients on dental wayfinding and post-operative care
• Provide administrative support for:
  • Laboratory cases
  • Consumables and clinic inventories
  • Basic equipment maintenance coordination

• Support sterilisation and decontamination of dental instruments
• Participate in quality improvement activities within the dental clinic

Requirements

• Minimum qualification: GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ / ‘A’ Level, Higher NITEC or Polytechnic Diploma
• Able to commit to work on weekdays and scheduled Saturdays

Additional Advantage

• NITEC in Dental Assisting
• Prior experience in dental assisting
• Familiarity with dental software (e.g. Medisys)
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
