Why This Role Matters

As a Care Support Associate, you play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the hospital and ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare teams. You will assist with patient-related support services, equipment and supplies management, operational activities, and administrative tasks to support the delivery of quality care. Your contribution helps healthcare professionals focus on clinical care while ensuring smooth departmental operations.

What You Will Drive

Patient Care & Support

• Support patient care activities under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients with basic non-clinical needs where appropriate.
• Support patient transfers, transportation, and movement within the hospital.
• Ensure patient areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and organised manner.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.

Operational & Administrative Support

• Assist in the preparation, replenishment, and organization of supplies and equipment.
• Support inventory management and stock replenishment activities.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available and properly stored.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
• Assist with administrative and coordination activities to support departmental operations.

Equipment & Resource Management

• Ensure equipment is cleaned, checked, and maintained according to established procedures.
• Report faulty, damaged, or missing equipment promptly.
• Support preparation of equipment, carts, trolleys, and work areas for operational needs.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels according to departmental requirements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Follow departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Adhere to infection prevention and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and organisational information.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
• Escalate incidents, hazards, or operational concerns appropriately.

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Work closely with nurses, allied health professionals, support staff, and other healthcare teams.
• Support departmental activities and service improvement initiatives.
• Participate actively in team meetings, briefings, and training programmes.
• Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors in support of operational needs.

Learning & Development

• Participate in orientation, on-the-job training, and continuous learning programmes.
• Maintain competency requirements relevant to the role.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving operational needs.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• Minimum Secondary School education, GCE N/O Levels, ITE Certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent.
• Relevant healthcare, service, operations, logistics, hospitality, or customer service experience is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic computer literacy. Skills & Attributes
