Job Description
You will support the functions of the Clinical Governance & Quality (CGQ) primarily in the areas of data management and analytics, hospital policies and processes and secretariat support for committees. In carrying out the various duties, you will be required to work very closely with the senior management, clinical chiefs and doctors, patient care staff and other CGQ staff members.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the Portal for Risk Identification and Safety Management (PRISM) system, including incident screening and system administration functions. Liaise with vendor/NHG, perform testing, troubleshooting and system configuration as required.
- Provide secretariat support for the Clinical Audit & Documentation Standards Committee, and assist with clinical documentation audits, data preparation and statistical analysis.
- Analyse near-miss events and prepare case summaries, learning points, and nominations for Good Catch Awards to recognise proactive safety practices.
- Facilitate clinical quality and patient safety data requests from internal and external stakeholders and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to analyse the data, identify trends, patterns, and variations, and generate actionable insights from key indicators.
- Design, develop, and implement automated dashboards and reports for departmental and hospital-wide users to support the monitoring and analysis of clinical quality and patient safety initiatives, including international benchmarking, quality improvement projects, and other performance indicators.
- Support department work related to hospital accreditation and audits (e.g. JCI accreditation, MOH hospital licensing).
Requirements
- Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proficient in Statistical Process Control methodology, Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Python.
- Strong in numbers; able to produce and present high-level statistical reports with in-depth analysis to the senior management.
- Able to view issues at the strategic level coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Able to multi-task and manage teams and projects.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels with good interpersonal skills.
- Possess a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
