Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, CHI Academies
Healthcare transformation | Capability building | Programme and portfolio management

Build capability for healthcare transformation.
The Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) Academies Office develops capabilities across Value-Based Care, Population Health and Healthcare Sustainability. Through foundational learning, project-based programmes and leadership development, our three Academies work with leaders, practitioners, faculty and partners to translate learning into action.

This is not a conventional training administration role. You will sit at the intersection of healthcare transformation, capability building and programme management - shaping programmes, working with diverse stakeholders, supporting teams through structured learning journeys, and improving programmes using evidence and feedback.

The role
You will initially anchor work within the Value Academy while contributing across the broader CHI Academies Office. Your Academy and workstream responsibilities may evolve over time based on organisational priorities, team needs and developmental opportunities, giving you exposure beyond a single Academy or domain.

What you will do
• Manage selected Academy programmes and workstreams end-to-end - from planning and programme development through delivery, evaluation and follow-up.
• Work with Academy Leads, faculty, subject matter experts and partners to develop and continuously improve capability-building programmes.
• Coordinate project-based learning journeys, including intake, programme milestones, funding processes, documentation and followup, alongside coaches and subject matter experts.
• Build strong working relationships with faculty, programme partners, institutional stakeholders and participants, and drive actions through to completion.
• Monitor programme performance and project progress, and turn information into clear management updates, insights and recommendations.
• Manage programme budgets, costing, procurement and operational requirements

Who will thrive here
• You like owning work end-to-end. Given an objective, you can work out what needs to happen next, bring the right people together and drive it through.
• You are comfortable moving between the big picture and the details, and can manage multiple priorities without losing follow-through.
• You are a strong writer and communicator who can synthesise information, structure issues clearly and tailor messages for different audiences.
• You build trust with different stakeholders, ask good questions and are comfortable working with senior leaders, faculty and multidisciplinary teams.
• You bring curiosity, initiative and sound judgement - making progress independently with avenues for support and guidance.

What we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Approximately 1-3 years of relevant experience for Assistant Manager level, or approximately 3-5 years for Senior Assistant Manager level.
• Relevant experience in programme management, capability development, healthcare, learning and development, transformation or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing programmes or workstreams, stakeholders and competing priorities; strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Healthcare experience is advantageous, but candidates from other complex, mission-driven or multi-stakeholder environments are welcome.

Appointment level will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated scope of responsibility, independence and judgement.
Note: this is a contract position.

Why join the Academies Office?
You will work across multiple healthcare transformation domains, learn alongside experienced faculty and partners, and help build programmes that develop people and teams to make change happen. We value people who want meaningful ownership, variety and room to grow - not simply a narrow lane to stay in.
