Asst Director, Technology Strategic Planning and Integration
Purpose
The Assistant Director supports TTSH's digital transformation agenda by leading the planning, design and implementation of technology-enabled services that enhance patient and workforce experiences. The role is responsible for driving technology and operations informatics initiatives, developing future-state operating models, and ensuring technology investments translate into meaningful operational, service and organisational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Experience and Service Transformation
- Lead the redesign and transformation of patient, caregiver and staff journeys through technology-enabled services.
- Develop future-state digital service blueprints and identify opportunities for digitalisation, self-service and process simplification.
- Drive adoption and optimisation of digital services and platforms to improve accessibility, convenience and user experience.
- Partner clinical, operational and support services to translate business priorities into transformation roadmaps and initiatives.
- Collaborate with patient experience units, frontline champions and other stakeholders to ensure services remain user-centred and outcome-driven.
2. Informatics, Smart Systems and Workflow Enablement
- Lead the planning and design of technology-enabled workflows, smart hospital systems and enterprise digital capabilities.
- Drive operations informatics initiatives to improve workflow efficiency, resource utilisation, capacity planning and service delivery.
- Partner stakeholders to define business requirements, future operating models and implementation roadmaps for strategic technology initiatives.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of enterprise systems, digital technologies, smart systems and workflow enablement solutions.
- Coordinate technology planning and requirements development for smart hospital initiatives and future healthcare development programmes.
3. Performance Analytics, Benefits Realisation and Continuous Improvement
- Develop analytics and reporting capabilities to identify service bottlenecks, pain points and transformation opportunities.
- Leverage operational, service and technology data to support prioritisation and decision-making.
- Establish performance measurement frameworks and benefits realisation approaches for digital transformation and technology initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation of service performance, adoption and operational outcomes.
- Translate user feedback and operational insights into service enhancements and transformation priorities.
4. Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead change management efforts for digital transformation, operations informatics and technology-enabled service initiatives to ensure successful adoption and sustained outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-divisional collaboration across operational, clinical, facilities and technology teams.
- Build and manage relationships with technology vendors, implementation partners and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, requirements development, business case formulation and consensus-building for complex transformation programmes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Information Technology, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 12-15 years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, digital transformation, technology implementation, service redesign, enterprise systems, smart hospital planning or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional transformation, technology-enabled change or large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, workflow redesign, service delivery and change management.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups, including operational, clinical, facilities and technology teams.
- Strong programme management, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in healthcare technology, enterprise systems, operations informatics, smart hospital planning, patient experience improvement or digital service transformation would be advantageous.
