Job Description:
You will provide a range of psychological services for both inpatients and/or outpatients within the psychiatric services as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals. This position is designed as part of IMH's partnership with LKCMedicine (NTU) in the ASPIRE Master of Psychology (Clinical) programme, offering a unique work-study pathway to advance your clinical psychology career.
LKC Master of Psychology
The ASPIRE Master of Psychology (Clinical) programme is Singapore's first work-study clinical psychology pathway, delivered by LKCMedicine (NTU) in partnership with IMH. This innovative 3-year programme combines academic study with over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice. ASPIRE pioneers training in clinical psychopharmacology, prescribing rights, and AI applications in mental health, preparing graduates to lead integrated mental health services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with either adults or children to provide psychological services that include psychotherapy review/triaging as well as individual and group psychotherapy
- Contribute to research activities within the department
- Provide operational administrative duties
- Participate in the ASPIRE programme's structured residency training (R1, R2, R3) with progressive clinical responsibilities
- Complete academic modules delivered through LKCMedicine while maintaining clinical duties
Requirements:
Competency
- Interest in clinical psychology and related community services work in Singapore
- Experience in facilitating groups
- Good communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with Honours (2nd Upper and above) in Psychology
- Computer literate – basic skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Commitment to enrol in and complete the ASPIRE Master of Psychology (Clinical) programme at LKCMedicine (NTU) as a condition of employment
- Willingness to undertake a 3-year structured training pathway combining work and study
