Job Description: 

Provide administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the Dietetic and Catering Department including maintaining records related to patient diet orders, menus, special requests, meal counts and other required documentation.  

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Coordinate diet orders from the wards to the kitchen. 

  1. Assist in maintaining and updating all labels, posters and charts in the kitchen. 

  1. Coordinate internal catering orders from requestors to the catering team and Chef in Charge. 

  1. Provide administrative support for catering events, including labels, filling, data entry, billing and dispatch.  

  1. Provide general administrative support, including filing and data entry. 

  1. Ensure the office is adequately manned during office hours and that all calls to the department are attended to. 

  1. Conduct internal quality checks on food consistency, temperature and quality. 

  1. Carry out daily food safety and hygiene checks.  

  1. Assist in preparation, organization and maintenance of audit documents. 

  1. Assist the Chef to ensure staff comply with food safety rules and regulations. 

  1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of audit documents. 

  1. Process e-payment requests and perform any required data entry. 

  1. Work closely with the Chef and Dietitian to perform nutrient analysis of menus. 

  1. Assist and provide coverage for other team members when necessary. 

  1. Perform any other duties as assigned.  

 

Requirements: 

Competency

  1. Willing and able to work on weekends and public holidays. 

 

 

Educational and Professional Requirements 

  1. Diploma or GCE ‘A’ Levels in foods and nutrition, food management or a related field. 

  1. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. 

  1. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

  1. Preferably with knowledge of Foodworks Online software.
